After the Concert:  WCC family serenade Joe Flummerfelt at his farewell tribute re…

About 300 WCC folks from 1977 to present day, as well as some select Charleston Spoleto Festival folks converged after the astounding performance of Joe’s final farewell concert (Verdi Requiem) to pay tribute to him in a special reception. Towards the end of the evening, Andrew Megill gathered us to sing to him, and then Joe started lightly conducting us and really received our collective blessing of song. No words adequate……..he was so deeply moved, and to sing with all those WCC family members, especially those of this present generation, was just beyond exquisite. What a legacy. What a night.
